Corporate and Nonprofit Opportunities
YALSA is dedicated to supporting teens and the librarians who serve them. Our future depends on today’s teens; however, research shows that as an age group teens (ages 12 – 18) receive the least financial support. Government, philanthropic and non-profit spending directed at teens lags far behind what is invested in children (birth through 11 years) and young adults (19 and up). Libraries are in a position to help teens prepare for a successful and productive adulthood, yet they are hindered by this lack of financial support. YALSA is seeking to better equip libraries to meet teens’ needs by partnering with organizations who are committed to ensuring that teens get the help and support they need to succeed.
Join YALSA as a Corporate Member
Corporate membership is a first step for companies interested in becoming an active part of YALSA and young adult librarianship. As libraries continue to grow and change, YALSA can be your trusted resource for staying abreast of the latest trends and issues in young adult librarianship. Corporate members receive YALSA’s award-winning quarterly print journal and montghly e-newsletter as well as additional benefits from the American Library Association, of which YALSA is a part.
As a benefit of corporate membership in YALSA, each corporate member is entitled to one spotlight per year in YALSA’s monthly E-News, which is emailed to all YALSA members. Content for the E-News must be received by the third Tues. of the month in order to be placed in the following month’s E-news. Corporate members are welcome to provide some or all of the following for the spotlight:
- a blurb about their company of up to 100 words
- a URL to your site or Facebook page
- your Twitter handle
- a .jpg file of your logo
Please note that the intention of the spotlight is to raise general awareness among YALSA members about your organization and it is not intended to be an advertisement for a particular product or service. Companies interested in advertising can view the range of options available via YALSA’s Media and Sponsorship Kit (PDF).
Sponsor an Event, Initiative or Webinar
Sponsoring a YALSA event or initiative is an effective way to reach young adult services librarians, secondary school librarians and the teens they serve. YALSA offers a wide variety of sponsor opportunities throughout the year. YALSA’s sponsors receive benefits designed to complement their organization's strategic marketing objectives and philanthropic goals.
